2. How to Add a Custom Domain Name Using Blogger New Interface

After buying your domain name from namecheap you have to change Domain Name System (DNS) settings and enter google blogger CNAME’s. In a bit, here is how to do that.

- Login to Blogger Dashboard

- Goto > Settings under Publishing you’ll see Blog address.

- Click Add a Custom Domain

- Type in your name in Advanced Settings and click Save. You’ll see the Name, Label/Host field, Destination, Target or Points you need to copy and paste in the DNS setup.

Now you have to verify your authority to this domain by changing the CNAME’s from your domain registrar’s website.

- So Hit back to www.namecheap.com 
- Login to your Namecheap account and go to Manage Domains
- Click on the domain you would like to edit
- Click on Transfer DNS to Webhost (or Domain Name Server Setup) to setup the nameservers for your domain
- Select Specify Custom DNS Servers (Your own DNS Servers) option and enter the Name servers accordingly
- Click Save changes.

Note: It may take up to 24-48 hours for the changes to take effect to be propagated worldwide its all dependable on your host.
